Bio

Gabriel Pericàs (Palma de Mallorca, Spain, 1988) is an artist and publisher currently living in New York.

He holds a BFA from the University of Barcelona, and obtained an MFA from Parsons, The New School, New York, as a Fulbright scholar.

His solo shows include Processionària (2024) at Galeria Pelaires in Palma, Esculturas (2023) at Galería PM8 / Francisco Salas in Vigo, insult–miracle (2020) at Casal Solleric in Palma, Une enorme langue (2017) and Elastische Luftsäulen (2015), both at Galería PM8 in Vigo, The Nipple Slip Speech Performance (2013), at the Joan Miró Foundation in Barcelona, Il semblerait que le monde te pousse (2010) at Espai Cultural Caja Madrid in Barcelona, and Constantly Moving Whilst Standing Still (2009) at Galería Sis in Sabadell.

He was included in multiple group shows and has performed at diverse venues in cities such as New York, Madrid, Barcelona, or Paris, among others.

Pericàs is the author of artist’s books The History of Lubrication (Printed Matter, Inc., New York, 2023), Puff! (Injuve, Madrid, 2015), and Madera Curvada / Bentwood (Fabra i Coats, Barcelona, 2012).

Since 2013, he runs Biel Books, a small-scale publishing house for artists’ books.
